What usually seems to happen to us is that the FA manning the door goes off with one of us to F and asks one of the others standing in the galley opposite the door to take the other one to E.
In my opinion, totally unnecessary and a waste of everyone's time. Just tell the passenger to go left and let the FAs already in the F cabin to do the rest.
