I actually wondered about that as well. As I read it I thought - what a shame but has this not been sorted out now? I rather thought that this might be a fishing expedition for some more tales of similar nature, or rather like these pain-and-injury accident lawyers chasing after an accident.
What I also fail to understand is that if it had been
my wedding I would not have cut it so fine. Clearly, there are two flights a week so we might guess that the wedding was to be there before. I know that I automatically assume that the best laid plans can go awry so I would have gone on the Wednesday. I would want to there to check on everything and not arrive with
Sunday the following day with everything shut. As the Rhodes flights leave from LGW I imagine that they were travelling EI to LGW rather than going to LHR and change. I would have been worried about luggage being lost with wedding clothes and all the rest, poor darling.
That does not change the fact that someone did not do their job and caused them all a lot of heartache and stress that they did not need or deserve. The bride must have been frantic.
