Either - as long as you are comfortable with being a fair distance from many of London's tourist attractions. The fact the that rooms have kitchens and space makes them much better for longer stays than the box rooms in central London hotels. But you will spend plenty of money on tubes, buses and taxis. That said I don't think its really any different than being in Bayswater, Earls Court or Kensington (unless you want to get to Heathrow easily).

I would say it depends on the rate really. If I could afford the Renaissance at St Pancras for 6 nights, then I would much rather do that than the Town Hall!
