I notice that for most routes, especially HKG-USA and USA-HKG, by the time it's within a week of departure, often there are still a handful of PE award seats and hardly any in other classes.
Any ideas on why this is so? Considering there is only a few rows of PE.
I could be wrong but here is my observation
- Lack of marketing
- corporate travel policies
Most who end up buying PE are after a shot at J. If J is already sold flat out, then there is no incentive to buy PE and waitlist
