I did this flight 2 years ago. Outbound only w/ a return to LAX on Air Tahiti Nui.
It was an A330 and very uncrowded. Plenty of space.
I don't remember fares to be expensive other than one way [which I was on] so I used points.
As I stated very uncrowded flight and plenty of space. It's also pretty short too.
