I can't answer your question about the BA lounge. I do know the AA Admirals Club does not have secure storage. They do have cubbies where you can stash your coat or something like that, but nothing secure.
You can use the AC since you are connecting to an international premium class flight, however be aware the LAX AC is a big mess these days due to construction that was advertised as being ready in "Spring 2017" but is not yet done.
Because I live near Los Angeles and because I'm nosey: Where are you going for those few hours away from LAX? There are many good options.
