My room was infested with bed bugs again last night and I have been itchy all day long. Yesterday, the FDA promised me that the hotel would contact me to resolve the issue. I had put my belongings in a plastic bag already, so the infestation is unlikely to have originated from me. Moreover because I had been travelling with my wife the days before my checkin and she experiences no issues at all.
So despite being promised to be called by the GM today, I was not called. Instead he left me to the FDA's who have no authorization to make decisions at all. The FDA's were really apologetic to me, but they could not decide on moving me to a different property or any other resolution. Eventually I left on my own accord, because I am really not comfortable at staying there anymore after 2 nights in bed bugs.
This is just really unacceptable behaviour from the hotel's management, and I am really disappointed in them that they just ghosted on me.
And you STILL refuse to name and shame the hotel?
