Good point on BR, I remember seeing that mentioned before, but had forgotten myself. Actually doesn't CX do the same sometimes?
If the OP can find a BR fare competitive, I'd certainly go that way. I like the 2 Korean carriers quite a bit for service and food but KE's seats are indeed a bit firm. BR (and their competition CI for that matter) is an excellent carrier.
