I was in Anchorage 10/2016 at the Boardroom club, and they asked for my AAdvantage # in addition to seeing my card. I'm the primary, so they let my wife & I in with no problems. That was using an older card which didn't have my FF# printed on the back. My new card has my FF # printed on the back.
None of the authorized users have my FF # (or theirs for that matter) printed on the back of their cards.
One other data point... my dad is also an authorized user on my account, and he got into the JAL club in FRA 03/2016 solo.
