Life Pro Tip- have the GA ping your next gate and let them know you're on your way. If you're so far delayed they took off without you before you could get to a GA, you're most likely not making it even in the front row.
In Row 1 there is extra legroom and no one to recline into you. You can get up from the window seat without having two other people get up to let you out. You may be able to do it in the exit row too but the seat itself isn't comfortable. I sat in the exit window one time and was uncomfortable toward the end of the flight. It also tilts forward a bit.
