I was very pleased he said that the worst seat to have was the middle seat in the back row. His main gripe: that there were two passengers to look at during the flight.

Why am I pleased? Because in reality this seat (7E) is the best seat on the plane, and I always book it well in advance!

Why the best? Because those in the know will have discovered that the middle seats (E) in CW on the 787 and 797 are at least 10cm wider than all the other seats. This extra width is just what is missing in the other seats and is a great place to put bits and pieces and indeed just to 'spill over' into.

Furthermore, the added width means that when the privacy shields are up the enclosed are does not feel claustrophobic at all, rather it feels like a private cabin - more privacy indeed than in the First cabin.

Direct aisle access from both sides without anyone climbing over you to get to their seat adds to the benefits, and all this without it being a bassinet seat, so no need to wait until T-48 to reserve!

So thanks for putting everyone else off it. Now I can be sure I won't have to fight over it in the future.
