I can understand that they're closing, but being threatened with calling the police if I didn't leave immediately was unnecessary. I also expected more of an effort to address the issue from the red coat.
I agree the agent escalated unnecessarily. Not sure why your request had to prompt that sort of escalation, instead of "no, I'm sorry we can't do that." The red coat should have apologized for the threat, and just asked again for you to leave since they were closing.
