Thanks for the information. We do book early (no prepay) and then monitor and rebook as opportunities arise. I am in revenue management in another industry, so understand the process if not the specific Hertz strategy. Sometimes we rebook on a fresh reservation and then cancel the original, and other times we "change" the existing reservation, essentially rebooking with same res number but lower rates. With both of these processes, we have found that AUS sometimes pulls the canceled reservation or pulls the "old" rate from the change reservation. We carry computer print outs and thus far have been able to get it straightened out OK, but it does take extra time and some diligence in reviewing paperwork at the time of rental.
