Definitely the Nile Ritz Carlton (for now). The Four Seasons properties are depressingly dated, though the service is still very good at the Nile Plaza. I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the St Regis; it was suppose to be in April, then August, now October.
I couldn't disagree with this more. The RC decor is bland and the rooms are unimpressive. We only stay in the Diplomatic Suites at the First Residence but the hotel is exceptional and both FS properties have fresh flowers in all of the common areas that provide the calm and welcoming ambience. First Residence has an extensive mall and underneath Nile Plaza is a luxury fashion store called Beymen.
I was looking to book the StR and despite contacting SPG Platinum Concierge and emailing them directly I have not received a response. I did, however, note that yesterday the website no longer says 'Opening 1 October 2017' to just 'Opening 2017.' I shan't hold my breath.
I don't know why you would change hotels for a two night stay unless you wanted to experience both properties. The FS First Residence is in Giza has some rooms overlook the Pyramids. The FS will arrange their BMW to the Pyramids and ensure you're not harassed by touts. Both properties will shuttle you between them in their limousines for no charge.
Nile Plaza probably makes more sense for tourists, though.
