WHERE are you flying? If you are flying domestic, snag the best seat you can, show up early and ask for one of the row 17 seats ^ (crew rest on international flights,) which have footrests, extended recline, etc. I've had some nice sleeps on these... (Ear plugs / headsets can be helpful, as these seats are galley-close.) Row 21 seats may also be available the day of flight, as other posters have mentioned.

As for the forward coach cabin, that is definitely less than MRTC - I had to fly rather suddenly to ZRH, and got 13G - not only limited legroom, limited recline! not to mention several small loud children, as it seems to me AA often places families up there. I avoid rows 10 - 13 on a "763" (and 13E would be as welcome as the plague!) I'd likely avoid row 20 as well (though I have no experience with these,) as SeatGuru says they have limited legroom and recline.

Bon voyage...

I was looking on seat guru at what it says about seats in the front cabin of economy. Do these seats have the full MRTC? I was thinking about seat 11A, and also 22A.

I currently have 30B but want a window seat with a powerport.
