Another option is take a shuttle to an airport hotel with you suitcases and tip the Bellman and get a claim tag. Then you condense everything into one backpack for the day. Tell the Bellman your intentions and that you would like to have breakfast before your day in HNL. Then take Uber or Lfyt to downtown HNL and the same in return.

Just allow 2 hours or so for agriculture check, bag check and security and carry-on agriculture check.
