Did you try selecting a seat back in Y- via seatmap? Understanding is the system should allow you to do so now. (Since change allowing you to pay a fee and select a seat in higger cabin via seatmap)
When my seatmap no longer shows the main cabin, it's hard to select a seat back in Y.
