I found the dinner service on flt 3 to be quite simple. I too think an appetizer with an upgraded salad or at least choice of dressing not served from a plastic container would not be too much to ask for. Also an additional entree choice and maybe ice cream sundaes with toppings would be nice. Basically more like AA trans-con service. Also my flt from IAD was 45 minutes late due to headwinds. Maybe AS should pad the schedule a bit more..
