Got the seat. Alas I did not think to look at the "upgrade to C+" box after that, so I have no idea exactly what happened.

Not a middle, so no big deal anyway. Just curious.
So we don't know "how" DL took care of it, but it appears it took care of both segments.

I don't have to buy last minute tickets so when I have bought tickets recently (including using a companion cert), C+ looked fairly open so I went ahead and selected C+ after purchase. Fortunately, I have immediately been upgraded to SU and then I go in and change to the seats I want.

So fortunately, I haven't had any problems.
