If this is a 125- ticket (BA) then you may well find the the BAEC number is sticky and the return AA flight will still credit to BA even if you appear to have added your AAdvantage number into the booking and it displays on the BP.

There are 2 fields in the booking for FF# and you will need to have them both removed. This can only be reliably done by an agent. Some on here like to do this using the Finnair website but I have no experience if that really works.
