I currently have a Swissgear Pegaus that I've been using for a number of years. I was surprised that it was still available new and Swissgear hadn't replaced it with a new model or new line. In my hunting I've come across Everki. Not a brand that I had heard of before (and arguably, I don't dive into this all that much anyway) but it has been rated highly and the reviews across the board have been positive.
I've settled between the Atlas and the Titan and could use FlyerTalkFolk opinions and guidance on these. I've always gone for a 17" laptop backpack even though I have a 15.6" laptop, because the 15" backpacks have always been too small for what I carry (I carry a lot).
Where my head is at is here:
The Atlas has a pass thru. While my Pegasus doesn't, I've gotten by without one thus far, but it'd be a definite nice to have. For the Titan, the extra space is definitely nice. Though I have seen a number of reviews where people thought it was too big or had too much space (is there really such a thing if it is still a legal carryon?). The accessory bag is nice (but I can supplement that) as is the waterproof cover.
I'm really torn between the two, so any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I have the Everki Versa Premium backpack. It is one great bag. I am sure if you pick either bag you will be pleased. I like the sleeve over the handle so I don't have to carry it on my back. I like the checkpoint friendly part of the bag as well as the organization of the bag. It has gone with me on many International trips and holds quite a bit of stuff.
