Gee, it is terribly difficult to conceive just whom you think might be guilty of this conduct, since you essentially parrot the exact words of RTHIB and CPRich, whom I might add, you have long voiced your agreement with concerning Marriott suite upgrades, or the lack thereof.
Am I wrong about the above statement, OHMARK?
So, then, you are not exactly a neutral observer in this dispute, are you??
Forget the issue, I mean posts the essence of which is: "Look how smart (or clever) I am, and how stupid you are." I have seen this on other boards but almost never here. The posters who persist in this behavior are depriving the rest of us of a forum which has almost always been characterized by civil discourse and exchange of questions, concerns, and ideas. It is embarassing and depressing. It is particularly embarassing now that Chris has joined us.

Had 15 stay, 25,000 point offer. At NJUITA's suggestion called MR this morning. Was increased to 35,000 points w/o additional requirement. Was told they are doing this for plats, upon request. Thanks NJ. Now about those breakfasts......

I think I have made my point, do I need more evidence?
By the way, I am in agreement that we need a Moderator, if for no other reason than for he/she to shut down petty threads that seek to rephrase a question or variant thereof concerning suite upgrades, of which the originator and his crew already know the answer.
By the way, without drawing another person into this dispute, I think it instructive that everyone view the response that MIKEM gave to RTHIB in the SPG forum concerning the very same suite upgrade thread that he considerately posted in this forum.

Kind of a poorly formatted thread. Upgrades depend on elite status, frequency to the property, effort put into getting an upgrade, number of suites at the given hotel, definition of an upgrade, etc. Stats here will have no meaning unless qualified.
If you want to compare *Wood vs. MR, just ask the Plats on both sides, (which has been done a million times here). MR took the upgrade perk out of the wording in their MR literature because they do not give them often. Being fare to MR though, many of their properties do not have suites. Most of us Plats on the *wood side get upgrades very often. I have been on both sides and never got upgraded at MR.
There's you answer. *Wood wins!!!
This comparison is like asking, "which country has a stronger military, Russia or Bolivia?"

No great revelation to that FTer.
Food for thought.
