Note that if the schedule change was a Delta schedule change, it's possible they would be willing to redeposit the miles for your LAX-SAN ticket without penalties if you call and point out (honestly) that the schedule change and terminal move together resulted in the ticket becoming non-viable for you now. Usually, the necessary change to allow that to be possible is an hour, but if you're close to that (45-55 minutes or so) there's a reasonable chance they'll do it anyway. Can't hurt to ask.
(Can't see OP's status on mobile, but if they are plat/diamond, of course they get free redeposit anyway...)
