Now I can see the lounge closes at 22:00 ahead of my 23:00 departure. Does anyone have experience of that? What can I expect? Do they start to wind-down things down even earlier (I am assuming little or no snacks will be on offer at the end of the day's business)? Can I stay until exactly 22:00 and then stroll to the gate given that boarding can happen about 45 minutes beforehand?
My sole experience of being on this flight was that there was normal (and very good) lounge service until the flight was called and then pretty much everybody got up and left the lounge to the gate as one. At the gate quite a scrum with huge queues although fast track was working. Seemed pretty ship-shape to me. Dining area policed very well. Witnessed quite a lot of walks of shame as people turned away. One bloke seemed immune though and tried three times.
