In talking to some folks from Chennai, they suggested looking at Taj Gateway and Holiday Inn Express as well (in addition to the Aloft).
The Nearest would be Aloft (
as Keyser has suggested) and the Gateway hotel. Both these are literally on opposite sides of the road, roughly at the same junction. There are a whole host of other options such as Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn express, Novotel, ibis etc...but they're all a little further out..
