For LAX-SYD, what people are experiencing now doesn't mean much for March/April as equipment is due to change from 77W to 789 in November. Thus F will go away and the number of J seats will be reduced, so in theory SWU availability should go down. On the other hand, an unknown number of people may not requalify for EXP so the competition may also go down.
For both SYD and AKL, they are quite seasonal routes and availability now would be better than March, everything else being equal.
