Yeah a few years ago getting a res at EMP was nowhere near as difficult. The concierge rep specifically said they are not able to call, and can only use the online booking system just as I would.
You'd think AmEx has some sort of special inventory since they seem to have a deep relationship with EMP.
The system they use is Tock and it's gaining ground with certain restaurants. TFL uses it and supposedly Per Se is moving towards using it as well.
