With a lot of info on the laptop ban recently I'm finding it difficult to work out the current BA policy on laptops in hold luggage.

Im wanting to check my laptop into hold luggage as I have a long layover in LHR and don't want to carry it around with me in London . I would be happy to carry the battery if needed.

I know from some recent non BA flights they were not happy for a laptop in checked luggage.

Any knowledge of the current policy and ins and outs regarding battery inclusion or removal?
