It matters to revenue management . Thats how hotels categories are based, yes?
Here we're more program and property knowledgeable and specific. The general guest may not be so their "expectations" for a hotel may not be in line with the typical SPG FT member. Example, W New York; Sheraton Philly; Westin City Center DC; Royal Palms, South Beach; etc. that promote the properties one way but fail to deliver at the brand minimum. Many of us know how to adjust expectations based on comments here.
In addition, when it comes to room rates, and redemption categories, that may not match up with what we view. I believe hotel revenue is what matters, not a ratings.
