LeMeridien Delhi hadn't gotten US Secret Service approval for POTUS stays in Delhi. Of that I'm rather certain when it comes to Obama and earlier.

There are a few reasons why the ITC Maurya (Sheraton) has been the POTUS go-to-stay place since WJC was POTUS. The location is better for a POTUS stay.
So we have secret service information now needing to be divulged? The check in agent told me POTUS has stayed there Clinton/Obama, I don't have any SS information list nor would I share it. Take it or not a throwaway data point IMO, validity I can always count on FTer's to be persnickety about to correct.^
