1) Is award inventory on CX flights the same with AA miles as Asia Miles? Do Marco Polo member have more inventory, and if so, what levels?
Sometimes. If a particular flight is full, Asiamiles members have the added advantage to waitlist. Elite Marco Polo Members may get instant confirmation on a flight with no award availability. In undocumented cases, Diamond MPC members can actually get award space from revenue seats. In case you're wondering if you can book an award using Asiamiles and then decide to 'switch' the booking to using your AAdvantage miles but using that same booking PNR... NO.

2) When I fly CX, I would normally credit my miles to AA (especially since I'm EXP). Does CX track my flight activity as an AA elite - and it there any way I could get sectors credit or something while still getting AA miles verses Asia Miles? If I fly CX a lot as an AA elite, will CX notice?
No. Asiamiles themselves will not track your bookings if you credit your miles to another FFP. CX themselves however may be able to track your revenue if the local sales office deem you to be a high revenue client. There is no way to get credit with Asiamiles and another FFP as well. It's one or the other.

3) What is the best Asia Miles credit card option for residents of the USA? I saw an old post about the Ebay CC - stating a conversion rate of 1 Ebay point = 1.15 Asia Miles. When did the conversion rate change (apart from the current promotion, the rate is a LOT lower now)? Does the Starwood Amex remain the only good way for US members to earn Asia Miles?

I am not familiar with any card other than the one above to credit miles to Asiamiles in North America. So maybe that's it.

4) When I redeem an Asia Miles award, can the ticket be refunded (miles redeposited) for a fee? Can dates be changed (pending availability)?

No. Tickets issued cannot even be reissued due to routing change. In some circumstance, tickets will be issued if say, you're upgrading a J ticket for a F. But that is not even stated to be permissible in their T&C. On rare occasions, they have bent this rule for their top tier members. Dates can be changed as tickets are valid 1 year from DATE OF ISSUE.. not departure date.
