I don't know if it is that we don't want to wait for luggage on arrival. It is more we don't want to wait some unspecified amount of time (Alaska having their 20 minute guarantee makes it better) or run the risk of losing our luggage (which doesn't happen that often, you just get it back eventually, again after some unspecified amount of time)
