I also think AA itself must have internal company policy prohibiting alcohol consumption and I certainly assume include stuff like weeds within certain hours of the flight and those internal airline company policy tends to be more tougher than FAA policy. Also, I assume AA has a drug policy just like most other corporates in the U.S. including my employer?
When news about flight crew getting drunk most fault crews but seems like many do not share same when it comes to weeds? If a person saw an airline crew members getting drunk at a bar a night before a flight, them most will say don’t bother?
I don't subscribe to policing every working professional in the world. I have friends who are Flight Attendants, and they are very particular on when to drink and when not to. It is not my place to tell them when to have a drink or when not to.
