I consider the refusal by TSA to screen airport workers as a fatal flaw in TSA Security programs. In this case, no amount of physical screening would protect against those who are willing to sell out for a few dollars. Since this person was a supervisor I also have to wonder just what additional oversight was provided at the checkpoints to guard against this form of breach? Corruption is probably one of the more difficult issues that any employer deals with but with airports screeners ability to control what does or does not clear security I think that situation doubles.
TSA may be looking at the wrong people when considering where the threats are coming from.
