First of all, it must be an Aeroplan ticket redeemed from the Aeroplan account attached to the credit card, and the traveller must be the primary cardholder.
When you do OLCI, you will see that your first bag will be free. It's "automatic" and you don't have to do anything. If you check-in at the airport, just show the check-in agent your CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite. The same for MLL entry.
Btw if you are departing from Toronto, you are no longer allowed to use the business class check-in. You have to go to a different "priority" check-in counter.
