Really interesting thread. Just my experiences with the different brands. * I should caution that I have been accused of being snobbish on the *Luxury Hotels thread* lol* but I think that I'm really go with the flow.

Conrad: I have enjoyed Conrad's; particularly in Asia and Europe. Seems that the brand varies quite a lot, with Conrad Koh Samui being one of the best. I view it as a compromise. IE, I booked a stay at Conrad BKK when I need something cheap and near the embassy, but the lack of true luxury is made up by the great elite benefits and cheap suites. Conrad New York is another cheapie when Im in the city and need to requalify.

Waldorf:Oddly enough, mother and I love the WA. On our first trip to Rome we stayed at the WA; and its now become an annual pilgrimage of sorts. Another stand out to me is La Quinta, often go there with my love to escape the cold winters where I go to university. Las Casitas in the PR is another cheapie villa location, where you can dress in a T shirt and yeezys and just chill vs. St Regis etc. However, the NYC flagship was ATROCIOUS.

Curio collection: Some great little boutique hotels. Great management at the Logan in Philly. Went to the Beyonce concert and stayed there. Had originally booked the Presidential suite for my friend and I. Turns out Beyonce was staying there, had to switch suites and was comped all F&B for my stay. Bartender even brought out doubles of vodka sodas to our car in to go cups haha.

Homewood: Didn't even know this was a brand lol.

Hilton: Never had an issue. Good benefit recognition around the brand. Most all give free buffet breky. Some hotels really need to be updated to keep up brand consistency; looking at you Hilton Orly and Hilton Hanoi!

HGI: I like them, on road trips or when you have to go to some god forsaken rural place. When your options are HGI or a rando motel, HGI seems like heaven. My first stay on my own with status a couple years ago at 17, went with a friend to visit a college in Bakersfield, CA.

Doubletree: I love the concept. Every DT I have stayed at has been clean, modern, comfy bed. And the cookies! My 12 year old brother actually asks every time if we can stay at the "cookie hotel". Great elite recognition for golds, often get suites when booking cheapest room.

Embassy: Always confused. If you need a suite, why not "splurge" at an actual hotel? Best thing I have seen about Embassy, is that they converted to the Conrad NYC lol.

Hampton: Least favorite in the portfolio. Damp, dark, and musty sums up a few of my Hampton experiences.

Home2: The frugal me eyes them skeptically as they give such few points as a benefit.
