Will I be able to use the 241 voucher AFTER I cancel my Amex card?
Haven't heard a definitive answer on this so far. I know that I can downgrade to the free card and if I do so, the voucher will still be showing up on my account but don't want to this because I want to apply again for the Premium card in 6 months to trigger another bonus and another voucher.
I've had my BA Amex Premium card for 3 months now and have already achieved the 10k spending limit on it which triggered the issuance of the 241 voucher which I can now see showing up in my BA account.
I don't see the point of having to pay fees for the next 9 months if I already triggered the issuance of the voucher + meanwhile for the next 6 months I'll use my partners Amex (which she just got) to collect Avios and also get a voucher on her end. Once I get a voucher on her end, she will cancel her card and then I'll reapply for mine in 6 months time....and so the whole chain continues
In the past, I've always booked the flights with using the voucher BEFORE cancelling the card.
All our flights for next year are booked so have no near term plans to use the voucher I just got but want to cancel the card. So main question is, If I pick up the phone today and cancel my Amex card, will I be able to still see the voucher on my BA account AND use it in say 3-6 months time, taking into account the card that was used to trigger the voucher was cancelled?
Thanks
