Thank you all for the responses, I am thinking KE might be a viable option at least for one way...

When will this be a problem? At the time of booking or travel? We will be married by then. The other option is that SO book her flight separately with KE - she also has about 100K. Might have to worry about KE having two award flights on same flight if booked separately.

Sorry, I didnt quite get 50% piece. Do you mean, i could get 2nd ticket for 50%?
If all things work, I am thinking I could do UA/EVA one way and KE the other way.

This is helpful to know! I have not booked the hotel yet, getting in 2-3am isnt the most convenient but not a deal break either. Any other recommendations/things to consider for KE?
