While I understand the general idea, I'm not entirely sure whether it works as intended; I mean, now I see those fancy flavours and might think "wow, Mövenpick really make disgusting ice cream, I should never buy them in retail", while I might instead think "wow, that chocolate chip ice cream is really good, I definitely need to buy a pack of Mövenpick when I go to the supermarket next time" after a bowl of classic flavour.
I think the best solution would be to offer one or two classic, universally compatible flavours along with another two fancy ones. And I believe they did exactly that one or two yeara ago. At least I remember having both a classic chocolate flavour along with strawberry pannacotta flavour in the lounge.
