As it turns out, a month ago some other folks reported $40 being stolen from them at this checkpoint, but from a different TSO. They reported it to the supervisor and the supervisor didn't take a report or act interested.
TSA should be disciplining the individual who identified as a supervisor (frequently just an LTSO) who didn't follow up on the theft - possibly because he's on the take.
