But what's up with those pillows? I have never seen any so hard, at least in an upscale hotel. The bed otherwise is comfortable; I guess I could have called to change pillows but didn't bother.
The bell service was great, front desk fine. The bar in the lobby is outstanding -- they have really professional bartenders and lot of interesting concoctions. I ate at Charlie Palmer Steak over in the Four Seasons, my second favorite steakhouse (after Botero at Encore) in town, and was able to sign to my room and get points.
In general, the Mandalay Bay complex is among my least favorite of the major resorts at that level. The restaurants, bars, service in the casino, and other amenities are below, in my opinion, Cosmopolitan, Aria, and Bellagio, to say nothing of Wynn/Encore. (The calculus is different in summer when the pool is important.) So I may not stay again, but overall I have no complaint.
I enjoy staying at delano and getting 3/2 bjs on most 25.00 tables. The hotels you mention only over it at 50 or 100 when busy
