I complained both on Facebook (to make sure it was public) and using the official "form" in no uncertain terms afterwards and they very quickly reversed the charge to his credit card and refunded the money left on the gift card to me and sent him an apology. It probably was successful only due to my SE status though - I hate to think of the run-around they would have given no status son. I will never buy an AC gift card again.
I tell everyone I know to never purchase the AC gift cards. It's a seemingly disingenuous way to rack up revenue and not letting anyone actually utilize the product. Get everyone to buy gift cards, but make it almost impossible to use!
