OK, one more time
QR refused the request by my TA to reroute/reticket until 72 hrs before the scheduled flight
Without knowing what flight they may put me on if I change origin from LXR to CAI how am I supposed to know what flight I should get from LXR to CAI?Or perhaps you think I should just spend my $60 (no $40 fares on my departure day) , go there on spec , hope that QR will reticket me ex-CAI , hope that I won't spend 12 hrs at CAI airport (as they would have had me do in KWI when I came to Egypt) , hope that I don't need to pay for a hotel in CAI as well if they don't get me a flight on the day I guess to arrive.
As I have previously stated in my posts , I'm more than happy to get myself to CAI,AMM,KWI if QR would tell me what flights they are putting me on.
They have told my travel agent that they will protect me out of LXR.
This is a list of all the international flights out of LXR +/- 2 days from my departure date. I don't see them protecting me on MS or by issuing a separate ticket on a Low Cost Carrier or by routing me through Jeddah
3 flights on Flynas to Jeddah
2 flights on EgyptAir to Kuwait
3 flights on Jazeera to Kuwait
The reasonable solution is to reticket from somewhere else earlier than 3 days before departure and I will plan to get myself there. As it is I can only start planning at the 72 hr mark when QR confirm where they will reticket me from.
We already have one example in this thread of the QR agent telling a Flyertalker that they could commence their journey in DOH and drop the CAI-DOH segment only to later renege on this offer/solution and demand the payment of the higher fare for a DOH origination. So me booking and paying for repositioning flights with no guarantee what QR will do is again unreasonable
