So whilst the OP may have perfectly valid reasons for leaving BA, and many people swap preferred airlines through their lifetime, the choice of FlyBe as a replacement is certainly a very strange one.
In his particular circumstances perhaps that's true but it does have its attractions in the form of direct flights for those of us in the parts of the country BA have decided to effectively abandon.
