For whatever it's worth, Alaska is currently planning on adding a second BOS-SEA flight on the spring/summer 2003 schedule and they do add later flights up and down the coast during the summer. Maybe that will allow some better connections, but probably only during the summer. Also, I believe that the new flight will be an "all-nighter" east bound and a morning flight west bound, similar to the second IAD flight. Our BOS loads continue to out-perform the rest of the system. MIA is looking pretty excellent at this point also, not that anyone asked. Keep in mind, these plans could change as they sometimes do.
