Just flew SEA-PSP (on AS196) with a layover in SFO. The seat assignment was a MESS (and that is being VERY kind)! I was pre-assinged 1D when I made the reservations. Additionally, I check in on line last night. The boarding pass showed seat 1D SEA-PSP. In SFO I was given no choice but to move to 3F - given a "new" boarding pass - of course I never left the plane. The person who took 1D had flaming (and I do mean flaming RED hair). Her traveling companion had flaming Green hair. On the SEA-PSP flight was a couple who were not seated together - but on the SEA-PSP segment he had to relocate as well. He had 1F. This couple was whoever...Can't figure out why they were so "special!"

Have seen the threads regarding lossing seats at check-in, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else in a layover city!

I was not a happy camper - particuarly when the woman in 2F decided her seat had to be reclined into my lap! The very reason I always try for the bulkhead.
