I never flew into Doha nor have I flown in the Middle East area. But I am contemplating getting ticket to Doha, layover and continue on to USA in business class as their QATAR award space is excellent for the route that I want.

With so many things going on now such as electronic bans, suspended flight into UAE, terrorism, etc. Is it safe at all to fly into Doha from Africa connecting flight route back into USA? I am planning this for December time frame, so I have a while yet but want to hear others thoughts.
