I typically don't pay attention to all the AA emails I get with 10,000 bonus miles if I book a cruise, but now it turns out we are in the market for a cruise in 2018.

Is there a forum here for this offer that I can't find? Specifically, I'm looking to verify if there are any catches or if the 10K miles go in snoothly once you book? Also, are there ways to use airline miles or certain credit cards to get discounts/bonuses on cruises?
