Welcome to Flyertalk johnny4508!

It's not Air Canada's fault. If you were boarding in BC, the legal drinking age is 19. Air Canada's Lounge serve alcohol so it's perfectly necessary to prevent underage drinking. If Maple Leaf lounge start allowing underage people in and these underage people start drinking, I absolutely support the BC government in shutting the place down.

There are lots of social problems with alcoholism and underage drinking especially for different ethnic groups in BC. We East Asians have genetic problem of "the Asian Flush" that automatically exclude 30-50% population from drinking alcohol by making it extremely unpleasant. But most other ethnicity do not have this natural deterrent and some have genetic disposition to make easier to be addicted to that stuff..

It's not Air Canada's fault. It's what BC people want the drinking age to be at Age of Majority - ie 19. The place to express this frustration is with your MLA if you're a citizen. If you're not a citizen, keep following our laws.
