I thought points were only awarded on one room.

Maybe I'm thinking of benefits only extending to the room the member is in.

I'm wondering how the hotel knew she was homeless. As long as she was clean and behaving the hotel shouldn't have had an issue providing the guy had the room backed up with a credit card (if there were any damages they were covered). The guy was the one that put himself at risk if there was any damages done seeing his credit card would get charged.
